It’s been known that the creative world has the best Halloween parties, maybe because it’s an industry filled with artistic people or just people who have a lot of time on their hands.
But we can’t deny this fact because for the past few years we’ve had a few helluva celebrations up our sleeves. It’s also not a secret in our office that we have a team of folks who simply love Halloween.
From adding cute filters on Platon for an Instagram Story to dressing up our giant, fluffy emoji, we have fun the way we only know how to.
The best part of enjoying our day in costume, aside from all the pictures for the Gram, is the group lunches where we gather around the conference table and share some laughs and stories. Or watch an episode of Penny Dreadful while enjoying our Kabobs from Raffi’s.
Those were the day, for sure. Because, as many of you are, we’re still working from home, looking after each other’s health and safety.
So, what do we have in store for this year’s festivities?
-
Probably some desk decorating to make the small office space look like a murder scene.
Or some simply won’t clean their desks for a couple of weeks to get that au naturel combo of dust and cobweb. -
If there’s a consensus, our team would probably live stream a movie.
The problem is deciding what to watch. Would it be The Shining, Beetlejuice, Get Out, The Exorcist, Hocus Pocus, Final Destination, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 3, or Hubie Halloween? The world may never know. -
Maybe we’ll get a spooky email about an eGift Card for coffee or boba.
Is that a trick or a treat? It depends on one’s diet, I guess. -
A virtual costume contest works too.
We’ve never had a costume contest before because we just love each other’s company. But that was then. We’ll get to be like newscasters or sports analysts who only wear nice tops because that’s all the TV viewers get to see. I’m pretty sure somebody can pull off a Freddy Kreuger on the top, and I-just-wanna-be-in-bed-for-the-rest-of-the-day PJs look for the bottom. That’s a sure winner! -
This could be like opening a can of worms, but maybe, just maybe, a pumpkin carving party over Zoom.
-
Maybe we’re overthinking this.
We’ll create a Zoom link and have lunch together. You know, keeping things simple.
